    • Creating Hope Donation Station
      In an effort to aid the influx of unaccompanied refugee children, we’re collecting donations for the Creating Hope Donation Center at the Catholic Charities of Fort Worth.  The charity recommends creating a “Welcome Box” or donating new items for the box such as a plastic shoebox-sized container, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, brush/comb, pack of hair ties, deodorant and a small toy. Catholic Charities also gladly accepts Wal-Mart gift cards of any amount. Please place your items in the large, designated donations boxes located throughout the Church. The St. Francis Mom’s Group will deliver all donations to Catholic Charities the week of September 8.     • St. Francis of Assisi Annual Golf Tounament

      SAVE THE DATE! SUNDAY, September 21, 2014
      We are looking for sponsors for this year’s tournament. If you have a business or personally would like to become a sponsor we have a deal for you. All proceeds will benefit our missions in Guatemala and Honduras. All sponsors will be recognized on the golf course, at the dinner and in the church bulletin. $225 and $150 sponsorships are still avail-able. Don’t be shut out.         10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Flynn: We would like to invite those who would like to join this ministry to accompany us for this complete training session. To join this ministry you must have received your First Communion and be at least 10 years of age. We are training for all Mass times. An adult has to accompany a new server through the training.       • The preschool serves children 18 months through Pre-kindergarten and meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-2. Parish Registration is ongoing for the next school year starting this September.       • A six day intentions votive candle which will burn from Saturday until Thursday may be requested on a “First come first serve” with a donation at the receptionist desk. For more information contact Rosie at 817-481- 2685.
      • Please help keep your children safe while your family worships with the community of St. Francis of Assisi! The public areas of the St. Francis facility (like the Narthex and restrooms of the Church, the Parish Hall and Multi Purpose room) are just that – they are open to the public. Your children must not be permitted to leave the church sanctuary or chapel alone! Go with them! Thank you for helping keep your children safe!
